Banaras Guru ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.

1. Information We Collect

• Mobile number: Collected during OTP-based authentication for account creation and login.
• Birth details: Date, time, and place of birth that you voluntarily provide to generate your Kundali. This data is stored securely and linked to your account.
• Location data: For Prashna Kundali readings, we may request your real-time GPS location to cast an accurate horary chart. This is used only for chart calculation and is not stored permanently.
• Device & usage data: Standard logs such as device type, browser, and general usage patterns (no personal identification) for improving service quality.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To calculate and deliver your Vedic astrology readings (Birth Chart, Kundali Milan, Prashna Kundali, Daily Horoscope).
• To send OTP SMS verification messages via your registered mobile number.
• To process payments (via Razorpay) for paid features.
• To respond to support queries sent to rainkey.support@gmail.com.
• To improve our platform and fix technical issues.

3. Payment Data

We use Razorpay as our payment processor. We do not store your card details or bank information on our servers. All payment transactions are handled directly by Razorpay and are subject to their Privacy Policy.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

• Firebase (Google) — for authentication and data storage.
• Razorpay — for payment processing.
• Service providers assisting in app operations, under confidentiality agreements.
• Law enforcement if required by applicable Indian law.

5. Data Retention

Your account and birth profile data are retained as long as you maintain an active account. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting rainkey.support@gmail.com. Anonymised usage logs may be retained for up to 12 months.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, Firebase Authentication, and secure cloud storage. However, no system is 100% infallible, and we encourage you to keep your OTP confidential.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable.
